Grow Up, Snowflakes!

Internet “memes” are images or pictures that have some kind of ironic or caustic message in words printed over them. There’s a very funny one going around that shows an image ofrepublicanriotmeme an empty city boulevard. On the top are the words “Picture of riots when Obama won 2008 & 2012”.

That really sums up pretty well where we are at this point in our political history. In the days following the election we’ve all been inundated with news reports and scenes of leftists running around and rioting, burning stuff down, screaming at cops and other citizens, blocking freeways and roads, and just generally making pests and fools of themselves. Spoiled brats throwing a collective tantrum because Clinton lost the election.

They’ve even added to the comedic element by coming up with some absolutely wild-eyed, tin-foil hat schemes, like California seceding from the rest of the country, an idea with a pretty poor chance of actually happening, as the Confederacy learned during the Civil War, and which these snowflakes would actually know if they ever bothered to learn any actual history. A degree in ethnic basket weaving doesn’t really cut it in formulating political action plans.

Then there’s the idea that somehow, enough state electors sent to the Electoral College (EC) – which officially determines the election outcome – will change their votes to completely overturn the results of the election, and either A) make Clinton President, or B) make the election a tie and prevent Trump from being certified. My guess is that this idea apparently comes straight out of some dude’s now-legal bong pipe, because it doesn’t even make any sense. If the electors vote a tie, it goes to the House of Representatives to make the decision, and they’re controlled by the GOP. If the electors tried to throw the election to Clinton, these snowflakes would find out what a REAL revolt looks like. So that idea’s going nowhere.

There’s also the idea, even proposed by Pelosi in her infinite wisdom, of doing away with the EC altogether, through some sort of legislation. Unfortunately for Nancy the Red, doing away with the EC requires a constitutional amendment. Good luck with that.

Now, to a certain extent I understand their angst. For the last eight years, under the uber-community organizer in the White House – Obama – they’ve gotten used to running roughshod over the actual rights of everyday citizens – the Joe Sixpacks – and seeing their radical agenda implemented at their every whim. So the realization that a new day has dawned, and there’s a new sheriff in town, must be alarming, to say the least. And a group which has gotten used to demanding “trigger warnings” and “safe spaces” must find this change disturbing, I’m pretty sure.

Well, snowflakes, there’s a life lesson in this for you. If you push old Joe too far, he’s going to push back. And that’s exactly what we saw in this election, much to the surprise of you, the Dem/socialist party as a whole, and even the Establishment GOP. Plus it certainly didn’t help that you chose to run an unindicted felon and career corruptocrat as your nominee.kids-vegetable-3

So the party’s over, snowflakes. You can still have a seat at the table, but you no longer OWN the table. The Sixpacks are there, too. And if you want to stay for dinner, you’ll have to learn how to behave yourselves.

Well stated bro. I believe the snowflake meltdown has erased any apprehension that anyone may have had when they voted against Hildabeast. Now they know their vote for Trump has been validated in spades given the riots and protests, and general head explosions.

I for one think their screams are music to my ears. We all have waited 8 miserable years to see these assholes get their comeuppance. Trump reamed the media execs and talking heads on Monday. A fabulous move, in my opinion.

The left is imploding and the establishment is crapping razorblades. I am loving every second of it. A.M.F.!!!!!!!!!!!

Boom, you got it! People have been asking me how the EC can change their votes and getting scared. I just sit back and tell them to be patient. Just like the silent majority and the win…patience. Great analysis and snowflake takedown!!!!

Safe houses and play-doh is indicative of a bully who got punched back on the playground and ran crying to teacher….

I agree Brian, the recent actions of the Liberals and their “Snowflakes” have provided me with more enjoyment than I have had in the last eight years. And watching the DNC and the Main Stream Media squirm is priceless. However, I am sad when I realize that it will take decades to change the intelligence level of the “Snowflakes” (if it can even be done). At 65 I don’t believe I have enough time left.

    • BrianR says:

Yep, Grey, this feeling of schadenfreude is just deeee-licious.

And pard, I’ve got almost three years LESS than you to go. But I think I’ve got replacements standing in the wings, for a couple more generations: my daughter and granddaughter. My little girl’s as conservative as I am. Thank God!

Great article, Brian! I do have to wonder how the heck we got to this point when so many people just can’t deal with life when it doesn’t go how they think it should go. Although I definitely think Obama has made the situation much worse, I believe the “snowflake” mentality began many years ago with the “helicopter” parents, who did everything in their power to shield their children from reality.

Twenty years ago, I remember worrying about my children’s generation when their friends’ parents wouldn’t let the kids play outside without adult supervision, and worse, adult INTERVENTION. Back then it was bad, but I look around and it is much worse today, where kids are never allowed to figure out their own problems, nor are they allowed to fail and deal with the consequences. Gone are the days when a bunch of kids of varying ages would play pick-up games in their neighborhood, solving disputes on their own and basically learning how to get along with others.

Just think about it…how are kids supposed to learn how to problem solve when they are constantly surrounded by adults, who solve their kids’ problems? Children today go from their homes (being told what to do by their parents) to school (being told what to do by their teachers) to sports/extracurricular activities (being told what to do by their coaches). Kids need unstructured time away from adults to fully develop into confident, self-aware and self-empowered people.

Personally, I think our over-parenting style of the past 20+ years is a microcosm of our big government over-reach. Both probably started from the best of intentions, yet led to negative unintended consequences. I just hope that we can turn things around before it is too late for future generations.

    • BrianR says:

Well, that’s a really interesting analysis, hopeful. I think you may very well be onto something.

And thanks for the kind words.

Ever notice how the libs want to change the rules every time they don’t get their way? Pelosi and Reid are the ultimate whiney-butts and lead by example.

One of the memes making the rounds is a picture of a smiling Trump with the thumbs up signal and the message says “People being paid to protest – I’m not even in office yet and already put people to work.”

My favorite one so far has been the one with a group of protestors and a car blasting into them, sending bodies flying. The caption says “You have a right to protest, but I’m late for work.” Lol, love it.

    • BrianR says:

      Hahahaha!

Yeah, there’s one I like that shows a rioting mob and a crazed leftist woman, face contorted, screaming her lungs out into the face of a white police horse, who’s rearing back. The caption says “Lady I’m just a fucking horse why are you screaming at me holy shit”

Cracks me up every time I see it.

    • captbogus2 says:

They don’t really change their ways they just ignore the law.
Remember it was Faubus (D) who ignored Federal law and refused to integrate the Little Rock HS even to standing in the door. Faubus called out the National Guard to resist. Ike nationalized the Guard, best I remember.
Now immigration laws don’t agree with the Dems and they are ignoring it as well.
Let us see how this is handled next year

Excellent essay as always.Best meme i”ve seen yet is the one showing a young post election butthurt liberal in full Hillary garb, sobbing histerically at the hags’ loss. The caption read…this person got a participation trophy as a kid,now doesn’t know how to lose.Hope we can turn this around…

  8. garnet92 says:

    Good stuff, Brian.

By the way that the Hillary supporters are acting, they’re apparently thinking that if they raise enough hell, we’ll just finally relent and just “give the presidency to Hillary” – the way their parents raised them. What they’ve needed all along was a virtual belt applied vigorously to their collective behinds, maybe Trump’s victory is that ass-whupping that they sorely deserved? But, I’m sure it’s wishful thinking to believe that they’ll learn anything from losing.

One of their leftist “think tanks” will probably decide that they just didn’t protest loud enough or cause enough destruction, they just need to get louder and be more destructive – yeah, that’s the ticket. I guarantee that those elite “thinkers” will never opine that the problem was that they nominated an unindicted pantsuit totally devoid of morals or responsibility and were just going through the motions leading up to her pre-ordained coronation in January.

If I ever give Donald Trump any credit for anything, I’ll be forever in his debt for the extreme meltdown that Hillary suffered when it finally got through her thick skull that she LOST! That alone was worth my vote.

    • BrianR says:

      Thanks, Garnet.

Great observations, and I especially agree with your closing thought: the schadenfreude ALONE is worth electing Trump.

  9. slowcowboy says:

Late to the party here, but I’m dumbfounded by the left’s reaction. Probably shouldn’t be, but there is so mush sheer stupidity going on that my feeble mind is exploding. Children are everywhere, and the ignorance of the masses is there fore everyone to see. The trouble is, those that need to see are busy whining and complaining and petting puppies.

    • BrianR says:

Well, I guess if you stick around long enough you get to see pretty much everything. So for a geezer like me this is really just SSDD. Leftard SOP.

We saw the same thing during the Vietnam era (LBJ, Nixon), as well as the Reagan and Bush 2 admins. Just history repeating itself, as it is wont to do. Nothing to see here, move along.

      😀
