Gun Control Killed; Obama’s Head Explodes

Well, the Senate effort to curtail Second Amendment rights failed today in the Senate, and in his typical th[7]fashion, the empty suit currently occupying the Oval Office placed the majority of the “blame” (“credit”, in my opinion) on the Republicans.

As most readers of my scribbling know, I’m no big fan of the GOP. But they’re not the issue here; the Blamer-in-Chief’s post-defeat presser statement is.

Hey, Obummer, YOUR OWN PARTY CONTROLS THE SENATE, you doofus, and that’s where it failed. You didn’t need a single GOP vote, as we saw with your jamdown of Obamacare, if YOUR OWN PARTY had supported this nonsense.

What a flaming cretin.

Good point on the Senate Brian. They ran from his ass like a vampire from garlic.

JANUARY 2017 cannot come soon enough.

  2. Hardnox says:

    Brian,
It’s good to vent. I too am passed tired of this asshat. It looks like the Dims are watching out for their reelection prospects instead of the party line. I am beyond disgusted at the constant attacks of our rights by both sides.

I look forward to your next rant.

    • BrianR says:

Thanks, Hardnox. Yeah, I gotta admit, this one was sheer rant, and nothing more. The punk kid in the Oval Office is well past his “use by” date.

  3. clyde says:

Stellar news, there. Too bad his head didn’t detonate FOR REAL. Like a pressure-cooker bomb, maybe?? Good stuff. Damn sure can use some GOOD news, no matter how fleeting the moment.

  4. Grey Neely says:

Would to God that his head had actually exploded!

It appears that even the Dumbocraps know that on this particular issue (i.e., gun control) that if they voted for it they would lose in 2014 more than big time.

    • BrianR says:

      Hahaha, Grey!

It seems to be pretty unanimous that Obozo’s head actually exploding is an optimum result!

Y’know, it’s as I’ve so often written, even recently, that I’m so surprised they even tried this stupid gun control thing again, as it’s a PERENNIAL political loser for them.

  5. Buck says:

Why were they so afraid of their constituents they would vote against gun control but were not so afraid to vote for Obamacare? I believe about the same percentage of voters were against socialized medicine as well.

    • BrianR says:

Yeah, but they’d taken everything in the election just before Obamacare, so they were feeling super arrogant. The 2010 election gave them a dose of reality.

Also, every time guns are an election issue Dems get spanked badly. Even the dumbest of them — with a few obvious exceptions — realize that.

  6. Terry says:

Brian, I had so much leftover joy about this, that I had to jump over here and relieve some of it before my pressure cooker exploded !

    • BrianR says:

      HAHAHAHAHAHA, terry!

Yeah, me too. It’s just a RIOT watching Obozo get his knickers in a knot.

      Thanks for commenting, my friend.

  7. Buck says:

Gun control. It’s not dead. So long as there is one “progressive” (or liberal or socialist or Marxist or any “ist” or “ive”) there will be the threat to our arms.

    • BrianR says:

True, true… but at least it’s off the table for now.

I REALLY want to see this come back and haunt them during the mid-terms next year, though. And knowing Obozo, he’ll bring it up himself in his eternal arrogance.

  8. thedrpete says:

All of this, in my almost-always-humble opinion, is distraction while the PPACA rolls out and on, while the administrative bureaucracy regulates and red-tapes, further plundering liberty, capitalism, and America into oblivion. The campaign is masterful.

    • BrianR says:

True, but Obamacare may actually be going down the road to extinction. *MAY* being the operative word. Its fiscal shortcomings are becoming clearer by the day, and even its enacters are having a hard time supporting and rationalizing it.

  9. Buck says:

The man behind the curtain… Hmmm. Yeah, makes sense. Dorothy, Tin Man and all the rest are staring fixed at the whistles and bells and represent the MSM while Toto, the conservative bloggers, pulls and pulls on the curtain…
    Yeah. Makes sense.

  10. Buck says:

Gun control is still at the top of their list. And with the “conservatives” in the Senate about as squirlly as a live oak tree in September I am kinda nervous about the ratification of the UN treaty.

    • BrianR says:

Buck, I wrote an essay on that treaty a while ago, if you want to scroll back. But the bottom line is that any such treaty is invalid and unenforceable even if it did somehow get ratified by the Senate. Which, frankly, would be pretty nigh impossible, as ratification would take 67 Senators.

  11. Buck says:

Yes, unenforceable because it runs afoul of the Constitution but so does every M/Fing gun law since the ’30’s and nothing has been done about it.
That plus all 3 branches of government are now ignoring the Constitution I worry…
