People Died, Obama Lied

At last! A “shovel-ready” job! What is it, you ask? Why, it’s moving the mountain of bovine excrement Obama & Company are trying to use to cover the magnitude of his ineptitude and the depth of his dereliction, as well as the cost in lives, in the Beghazi-Gate and Fast And Furious debacles.

The Benghazi fiasco continues to escalate. Check out this
. Turns out Ambassador Chris Stevens and his security team (now all dead) had known for quite some time there was a lot of danger. They’d asked for security reinforcements. Turns out that during the day of, they’d radioed for help, and someone somewhere – the CIA claiming it wasn’t in THEIR chain of command – denied or refused to act on the SOS. Turns out American air and commando forces were only an hour away, but weren’t sent to the scene in spite of repeated radio requests for help during the several-hours-long attack by armed insurgents. Turns out there was a real-time info stream being transmitted, at least audio and perhaps video. People in DC knew what was happening while it was happening. But the folks in Benghazi were left hanging out to die. Uh-uh. No cavalry for YOU guys, Chris!

Now we know Obama’s response to the fabled “3 AM phone call”. Evidently, an event like this is a “not optimal … bump in the road” that can’t be allowed to interfere with Mr. Fundraiser’s campaign events, as within hours he was on his jet winging his way to Nevada to haul in the money.

After all, we do have our priorities…

Then the next couple of weeks were spent trying to bury the facts under the excrement pile by blaming the attack on a YouTube video that no one had ever heard of or seen. After all, Obama was the guy who “killed bin Laden”, right? And hadn’t that solved all our problems with Islamic jihadists?

Maybe not so much…

This episode is the perfect companion piece to the Fast & Furious mess, in which Obama’s ATF goons shipped a couple thousand guns – including full-auto submachine guns – to the Mexican drug cartels in an effort to gin up a case for the idea that American gun shops were the source for the illegal gun trade in Mexico, thereby justifying tougher gun control laws.

Unfortunately for The One, one US Border Patrol Agent named Brian Terry was killed by one of those guns, along with over 300 Mexican citizens. And the cover-up on that “program” continues, with Obama’s AG Eric Holder stonewalling Congress and a federal subpoena demanding the documents in the case.

What do these episodes have in common, other than piles of dead bodies? The refusal by Obama or any of his political cronies to accept any responsibility at all for what happened. Apparently, things just happen in a vacuum, with underlings somewhere in the chain of command making decisions that have costs in lives, and it all takes place without the Incompetent-in-Chief having any knowledge of what those people are doing.

So, let me see if I have this right. Obama is the guy who “killed bin Laden”, even though the actual mission was carried out by a SEAL team, a tactical unit pretty far down the chain of command. Yet at the same time, he’s also the guy who didn’t know anything about illegally shipping thousands of guns into a foreign sovereign nation, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of that country’s citizens and setting up a major international diplomacy problem; and he’s also the guy who didn’t know anything about an attack on our consulate – sovereign American soil in Libya – and the murder of our Ambassador and other personnel.

Well… which is it? Is he a stud, or a dud?

The Milli Vanilli of US Presidents.

As far as I am concerned, Obama should be impeached for going to bed in the middle of the attack, leaving Americans to die without hope of help. He is having that pusbag Panetta fire a General and an Admiral who ignored the illegal order to stand down. The entire Obama regime is composed of cowards, criminals, and lowlife vermin.

    Good essay and spot on.

    • BrianR says:

Gunny, I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. It’s absolutely shocking and disgusting.

      Thanks for the kind words.

  2. Hardnox says:

Well done. Take a look at this video of an intel officer who called Rush last Friday.

There is no possible way Zero did not know what is going on.

Zero needs to be arrested and frog marched to court the charged for dereliction of duty as CiC.

  3. clyde says:

A fine piece. The ending of this shameful saga can be done in three words. Forthwith: READY AIM FIRE. Bastards anyway.

  4. says:

When will the mainstream wake up?
Fast & Furious was designed with the certainty of dead Mexican citizens as collateral damage. Think about it. To say guns were being smuggled to Mexico to Mexicans, the attitude of 99% of US citizens would’ve been, “So, what?” THEY HAD TO HAVE DEAD INNOCENTS TO PUSH FOR MORE GUN CONTROL!
Bengazi was a muslim uprising led by muslims. There are NO “moderate” muslims. EVERY muslim wants this shit to come down. Otherwise, by the estimate of the world brain guys the 1% radicals could easily be put down by the “moderates” which there ain’t any.
Obama is a muslim. As such he is going to protect muslims, defend muslims and in the end he will side with the muslims.
Besides. Isn’t it funny that after the Ben Ladin take-out a helocopter full of SEAL’s was shot down? Specially since SEAL’s didn’t travel that many at a time.
I think the taking out of the chopper if SEAL’s was Obama’s balm to the muslims for Bin Ladin.

    • BrianR says:

“When will the mainstream wake up?”

Never, if they can possibly help it.

Buck, quit holding back. Tell us how you REALLY feel…

  5. Gray Ghost (Mississippi) says:

Obama never served in the military. Obama never was the CEO of any private sector business. Obama only had a brief time in politics (during which he mostly voted “present”).

Damn Brian, what did you expect from him?

Benghazi is a “black” mark against him (and his administration) and will bite Obama in the butt during the election. And regardless of whether or not the Main Stream Media continue to cover for him, Obama is toast.

I agree with Gunny, concerning impeachment proceedings against Obama and his administration. However, we are going to have to wait until after the election for anything to be done. Hopefully when Romney/Ryan and the new Republican controlled US Congress is in office in 2013, all of this can be investigated.

    • BrianR says:

      Yeah, Gray, all true.

If Oblame-O wins, I predict an impeachment process against Holder as one of the early orders of business of the new House. They’ve already started the process of investigating BenghaziGate, and I expect that to continue, too, with possible impeachment charges ultimately arising from that, for (as you said) utter dereliction of duty, plus the COVERUP. After all, that’s what bit Nixon in the butt: the coverup.

As to what I expected from Bat Ears: this is EXACTLY what I expected, which is why 4 years ago I refused to back RINO McAmnesty. I knew these arrogant socialists would overplay their hand, with the resultant electoral backlash this time, and hopefully the weakening of leftism for a long time. In a little over a week, we’ll see if I was right.

But as I wrote back in June, I’m still thinking “landslide” this time, and not for the incumbent.

  6. Nee says:

The one thing that continues to frost me is the complete lack of accountability. There was a protocol to follow as illustrated by that Rush audio. Not only that, but rumors are that Africom Commander General Ham was relieved because he disobeyed the order to stand down after three attempts of requesting support. And on October 19th, The Pied Piper nominated Ham’s second in command for Ham’s post, and the investigation is not even complete!! To boot, Thomas Pickering is heading the investigation even though he has ties to CAIR and the Muslim Bros.

I keep hearing shit from libertarians that I should be outraged about the 4486 Americans who died in two theaters, (as if I am not) and not for the Civil servants in Libya because none of it is “justified” or for a purpose. My point is that I can’t do anything about those serving there except to continue to show my support in whatever ways are necessary and that we should demand accountability. In their minds, because they don’t believe in wars or nation building, the troops and civilians deserve what they get…How they get there is beyond me. And it pisses me off!!

    • BrianR says:

Nee, I gotta tell you, foreign policy is one of those areas where the big “L” Libertarians lose all their credibility; the Ron Paul types.

They seem to think that this country can exist in a bubble; that if we don’t try to influence outside events, no one will try to pierce our bubble. They, just like the socialists, completely ignore the human nature aspect of things, and that countries — just like people — will hate and envy and attack us simply becuase we’re a rich country and they’re envious of us.

Then they try to drape that nutty idea in some cloak of constitutionality, completely ignoring the fact the some Founders themselves, such as Monroe and Jefferson, pursued aggressive foreign and military policies, completely debunking their hokum. Monroe had his Doctrine, and Jefferson sent troops to Tripoli. Whenever I raise those examples, they can’t ever rebut them; they simply resort to blather and bluster… just like leftists!

      • Nee says:

I’m going to use that last statement…It’s unbelievable to me and these are people I served with!!

      • BrianR says:

        I knoooooow the feeling…

      • AfterShock says:

The bubble mentality explains why most Libertarians are also agnostic or atheist, believing that moral concepts like understanding right from wrong or proactive defense of liberty are the natural outcropping of human experience. I do not believe it is human nature to arrive at a universal understanding of right and wrong. Hitler didn’t. Communists especially vs. libertarians do not. Islam’s concept of right and wrong are definitely NOT accepted by the rest of the world in that they advocate murdering infidels and the traitors to islam then call it “honor”. Yet, whether one believes in natures God or not, most all have accepted the moral precepts of the Hebrew Bible. Humans — subjectively — can only create a self-serving imitation of morality.

Libertarians call it non intervention, non interference, pacifism. But what happens when the ability to conduct trade beyond our borders — to further our own economy — meets with international competition that will attempt to destroy our success in a particular marketplace? What will happen as we are able to affect world markets in energy production? I’ll bet other nations such as Russia, Iran, Iraq and the Saudis won’t take kindly to it. They, of course, coveting what we have, will what is “wrong” to prevent us from gaining true independence and call it right. They will be motivated to prick our bubble unless they fear the consequence for trying. In that way libertarians and Obama are very similar animals.

      • BrianR says:

Yeah. You know what’s also interesting? It’s not just the precepts of the Hebrew Bible. Even other completely non-Hebraic religions — with the ONE glaring exception of Islam — have the same basic moral tenets. Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Sikh, etcetera, ad nauseum. They all have the same basic morality. Many (not all) encourage proselytization, but through persuasion, NOT force.

Islam is the only religion I can think of that embraces a “do it my way or I’ll cut your head off” code of conduct.

I agree that in some ways the approach of the Libertarians and Oblame-O are similar, primarily in their shared unrealistic appraisal of human nature, and the absurdity of their policy proposals based on those faulty assessments. But they come from diametrically opposed foundational ideologies. The Libertarians are almost anarchic; Oblame-O et al are despotic.

  7. clyde says:

Guys,I think if Obama wins,we retain the House, get the Senate, the ONLY way we see impeachment proceedings come up will be IF the R’s get RID of Boehner as Speaker. I don’t see him doing ANYTHING to get the bastard out.

    • BrianR says:

Could well be, Clyde. He’s not the “best” of conservatives. But he did let Issa’s committee file subpoenas, and file suit against Holder, so maybe he’s finally seeing the light.

As you pointed out, though, if the GOP doesn’t take the Senate, impeachment in the House won’t get Oblame-O out of office, as a Dem Senate won’t convict. It would cripple him politically, though.

  8. CW says:

    >>”The Milli Vanilli of US Presidents.”

That’s a great way to put it, Brian.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

  9. AfterShock says:

Seems to me I’d heard that weapons including mortar, guns and rpgs were pumped into Lybia through CIA to support anti Qadafi rebels, but the “rebels” turned out to be al Qaeda affiliates. In that case, a cover-up was already under way to keep that ERROR under wraps and the Ambassador was at least involved in determining where the weapons ended up. Perhaps certain people discovered too much so certain records and personnel needed to disappear, thus a 9/11 attack would prove the perfect vehicle for that to happen. Might explain a lot. Or, might not ‘splain a thing.

    • BrianR says:

Well, I guess anything’s possible. But in all honesty that one sounds more like a Mitch Rapp novel than real-world events.

Like any good conspiracy theory, it builds on real events as a basis, in this case Oblame-O’s backing of “freedom fighters” in places like Libya and Egypt who then turn out to be Muslim extremists.

      • AfterShock says:

We will see Brian just how conspiratorial the aforementioned scenario is, but keep in mind that even a cover-up, especially by highly placed government officials, is a conspiracy to obscure the truth. Nixon and others fell in exactly that way. There are facts that illuminate the covert influx of arms into Libya, and the question that arises is to whom they were intended to go? I’m betting that al Qaeda rather than incidental was the actual intended recipient. Obama’s support of the so called “Arab Spring” — a muslim-brotherhood/al-Qaeda collaboration — tends to support such a conclusion. Nonetheless, I understand your skepticism as the normal response to something that radical is to believe it couldn’t happen in America at the hands of an American President. I, however, think it very plausible from this President and this administration. Only time will tell.

      • BrianR says:

Well, there’s a big difference between a “cover up” like Watergate or what Oblame-O is trying to pull off regarding Benghazi, and postulating that the Ambassador was killed by our own guys because “he knew too much”. That’s the aspect that I find very far out there. That’s kind of like Rosie O’Donut’s “9/11 was an inside job” nuttiness.

It’s nothing new for arms we ship to an ally of convenience later turning out to be in the wrong hands from a long-term aspect. When the Russians were in Afghanistan, we armed the “resistance”. Well, who were those guys? The Taliban. So, we ended up arming the Taliban, then had to go against them ourselves. Same deal with Iraq. When Saddam Hussein was our “ally” when he was at war with Iran, we armed him. Later we deposed him.

So, this really isn’t anything new. And I certainly can’t see any government conspiracy to set up the Benghazi attack as a US intelligence conspiracy aimed at killing our own ambassador because he “knew too much” about something that’s not even really that big a deal. I mean, c’mon. Doesn’t that sound like the plot to the next Bourne movie or something?

  10. AfterShock says:

Brian — no way was I postulating that our own guys took out the ambassador e.g. the seals that came to the rescue. I was saying that we know from what has been leaked and released thus far that the attack was allowed to happen without any effort to defend from the top of thew chain — The White House/National Sec.Council. By all accounts, they watched this 7 hour attack happen in real time and chose to let it play out as it did. Why? The explanations don’t add up e.g. having insufficient intel on the ground to risk assets. They had a Navy Seal painting the target pleading for backup. They had forewarning of Al Qaeda massing outside the consulate on 9/11. It’s just not credible for the administration to plead incompetence or lack of intel.

The State Department and White House let this happen! In a seven hour battle they didn’t lift a finger to support the intel received from Seals on the ground. WHY??? Perhaps the top ‘o the chain of command which has a four year record of trashing constitutional limits on their power and our liberty figured that letting Al Qaeda do some pre-election dirty-work was an easy way to avoid exposing what might well be a much bigger story. They thought the anti-Islam video excuse would fly. It didn’t, because most Conservatives and many Democrats aren’t as stupid as liberals like Obama/Biden think.

    • BrianR says:

Thanks for the clarification. I thought that whole conspiracy thing sounded a little weird coming from you, but the way you phrased it made it sound exactly like an Oliver Stone fantasy.

I think there are any number of reasons why they did what they did (or didn’t do, whatever). Your thinking is completely plausible, IMO. BTW, you forgot to mention that there was a UAV orbiting, too, giving real-time intel on what was happening.

They could have thought that the ambassador wouldn’t be killed. After all, in their minds those jihadists aren’t “savages”, right? They’re just disgruntled “protestors”. Why would they actually KILL Stevens? Never forget that none of those asshats has any realistic apparaisal of the nature of the region; all they have is wishful thinking, a political agenda, and a PR campaign. And hadn’t the ObaMessiah already pacified the area with his brilliant foreign policy?

Escalating the battle by sending in our own troops would have been an explicit admission of failure. Can’t have that!!!

      • AfterShock says:

Yeah, I suspect the failure of policy here dwarfs the corruption of fast and furious and hey, now we’re gonna be treated to 4 more years watching thisso called CIC and his corrupt admin trash a lot more of country and Constitution — oh happy days…

      • BrianR says:

Yeah. Are we having fun yet?

  11. clyde says:

Home from voting for R&R. The libs here are really glum and not saying much, while the R&R supporters were having a good time. In my neighborhood,to see so many supporting Romney,in this staunchly liberal area,I do think the BECS is toast. We shall see tonight. Clyde prediction: Romney 56% BECS 42%.

    • BrianR says:

Glad to hear it, Clyde. I haven’t hit the polls yet, but will shortly. I’m looking forward to it.

I live in an “island” of conservatism here in lefty LA, so I expect the mood to be upbeat.

BTW, I’ve been predicting a Romney landslide for months. Now we’ll see if we’re both right. Fingers crossed!

  12. Nee says:

The question now is…How the hell could we have been so wrong? I am truly at a loss for words. At least when Billy Jeff won, he had brains…this guy’s got nothing and we have to deal with four more years.

    • BrianR says:

Nee, we had faith in the ultimate wisdom of the American people. But it seems we’ve passed the tipping point for this country. I think the Fat lady has sung, frankly.

      • Nee says:

I know, I really had faith. Now, it’s even more up to us to fight the enemy within. I am sucking it up and driving on because I have to think it’s worth it…Black day, indeed.

  13. clyde says:

Well, pard,it looks like we underestimed the level of abject ignorance among the sheeple. The ill-informed,the willfully ignorant, the parasites on society won.

    • BrianR says:

Yep, it sure looks that way.

I’m already working on my next essay. Probably be up later today. This is certainly a black day for America.
